The Discussion Series on Scholar-led Publishing
The Discussion Series on Scholar-led Publishing is a public-facing webinar series exploring key themes in community-driven publishing. It brings together the people who make nonprofit publishing work: researchers from all disciplines and career stages, librarians and research support staff, journal editors and editorial board members, across Africa, Europe and Latin America.
Each session takes up a question these communities are already grappling with and brings perspectives from the three regions into the same conversation. The emphasis falls on amplifying researcher voices and on the daily realities of running and publishing in Diamond OA journals, rather than on policy and funding, which are addressed elsewhere in the project. The programme is built one webinar at a time, with priorities revisited after each event rather than fixed in advance.
The series is open to all and free to attend, with multilingual representation among speakers wherever possible. Recordings, slides and written highlights from each webinar are published on this page, so that what is said remains available to those who could not join live and can be carried into other languages and other contexts.

Thomas Guillermaud will share a European perspective through Peer Community In and the Peer Community Journal, presenting community-governed publishing as both infrastructure and process.
