PKP (Public Knowledge Project) has been a leader in the advancement of OA and open source software development, research, and education for 25 years. Its software is used by over 40,000 journals around the world, in over 60 languages. The software was designed to guide new editors through the professional publishing process to help them adhere to best practices. PKP’s free, online educational resources are used by thousands of editors, journal managers, and editorial assistants, who learn not only how to best use the software but also how to develop their skills and knowledge of the broader publishing process.
