DOAB (Directory of Open Access Books) was officially launched in April 2013 and established as a Foundation in March 2019 under Dutch Law.

It is jointly managed and governed by the OAPEN Foundation and OpenEdition. DOAB serves the needs of the academic community, including libraries, publishers, researchers, funders, and the public. DOAB’s mission is to increase discoverability and visibility of OA books and trust in OA book publishing. DOAB contains 79,000+ open access books and chapters from 700+ publishers in 85+ languages.

DOAB has horizontal presence in WPs 1, 3-6.
