Work package description
Objectives
- Gain a better understanding of the national policy landscapes related to non-profit OA publishing amongst governments and research funders, and policy funding arms, and institutional policymaking;
- Stimulate the development of institutional and national policies that support non-profit OA publishing with funding;
- Build capacity on financial models amongst national and institutional policymakers and research funder to optimise costs, and help sustain non-profit OA publishing.
Deliverables
- D4.1 Landscape report, including good practices
Research into the regional, national and international OS policy landscape of nonprofit scholarly publishing and Diamond OA and its funding arms
- D4.2 Actionable, evidence-based and community-validated recommendations for institutional leadership, national governments and research agencies
Recommendations co-created with and for high-level national policymakers and institutional leadership, incl. learned/academic societies, including a white paper and action plans for funding Diamond OA
- D4.3 Plans of action to implement policy recommendations and funding
Collection of commitments to support nonprofit scholarly publishing and Diamond OA from FSDs
