
EIFL (Electronic Information for Libraries) - The Netherlands
EIFL is an international not-for-profit organization based in Europe with a global network of partners. Working in collaboration with libraries and library consortia in over 50 countries in Asia, Africa and Europe, EIFL enables access to knowledge for education, learning, research and sustainable community development.
EIFL is a DIAMAS project partner. In November 2023, EIFL, AJOL and WACREN (the West and Central African Research and Education Network), with funding from Wellcome, launched a three-year project “Collaboration for sustainable OA publishing in Africa” that develops a participatory funding approach to strengthen the quality and sustainability of African Diamond OA publishing. 28 national and 195 institutional OA/open science policies have been adopted with EIFL’s support in Africa, Asia and Europe, and over 324,100 OA journal editors and publishers, librarians and researchers have been trained on OA/open science practices.
EIFL is a co-leader of WP4 and leader of task 1.2 with horizontal presence in all WPs.
