Centre national de la recherche scientifique (CNRS)
CNRS (National Centre for Scientific Research) is a government-funded research organisation, the largest of its kind in Europe.
The mission of CNRS is to evaluate, carry out and promote research capable of advancing knowledge and bringing social, cultural, and economic benefits to society. CNRS is involved in all fields of knowledge with more than 1100 research units throughout France.
CNRS encourages its researchers to publish in OA: 94% of researchers’ publications are OA, making CNRS the French leader in OS. The OS policy at CNRS supports the use of open archives such as HAL to publish in OA. CNRS supports the Action Plan for Diamond OA.
CNRS is the leader of WP5 and has horizontal presence in WP3 and 4.
