Work package description
Objectives
- Gain a better understanding of the global landscape of editorial quality support instruments, facilitate cross-region knowledge exchange, and provide valuable insights for refining and harmonising tools for enhancing publishing quality support on an international scale.
- Facilitate the exchange of workflows, methodologies, and best practices among nonprofit OA publishing communities, extending the utility of a useful set of instruments for assessing quality standards towards a more global application.
- Design and coordinate a comprehensive framework for assessing global quality standards in nonprofit scholarly publishing.
- Establish a common framework for quality monitoring.
Deliverables
- D2.1 Report on nonprofit scholarly publishing and Diamond OA quality instruments: overview, comparison, endorsement, and effectiveness analysis
Improved understanding of the implementation status of quality support tools for nonprofit and Diamond OA publishers, highlighting regional variations, and providing insights into the
institutional, political, and financial factors that impact these practices.
- D2.2 Mutual learning report
Report with the main findings, key points, and overarching themes from the twinning process containing tailored recommendations for entities, regions, and countries involved in developing nonprofit and Diamond OA quality instruments
- D2.3 Global Diamond assessment framework
Enhance existing quality standards and tools for global usability through the establishment of a universal, robust, and globally applicable quality standard, alongside a collaborative assessment and monitoring system
